About this deal

Lillierosie Moet et Chandon Brut Imperial Champagne - Single B Sent this to my grandson engagement lovely surprise Let’s get one thing straight: unless you’re a die-hard Moët & Chandon fan, you’re probably pronouncing it wrong. Moet & Chandon was founded as Moet et Cie in 1743 by Claude Moet.At the end of the 18 th century, Claude's grandson Jean-Remy Moet took over the business and introduced Champagne and the Moet brand to the rest of the world. It wasn't until 1833, when Jean-Remy’s son-in-law, Pierre-Gabriel Chandon de Briailles, joined the business that the House was renamed Moet & Chandon.

In the creation of the Impérial, Chief Winemaker Benoit Gouez will age the wine in the bottle on its side for 18-to-24 months, but this was not always the case for the previous selection for America. Moet Imperial Brut is the House's iconic champagne bottle. Created in 1869, it embodies the unique Moet & Chandon style; a style that distinguishes itself by its bright fruitiness, seductive palate, and elegant maturity.Bespoke Unit shares that the wine includes a high percentage of pinot noir, adding richness and structure, making it perfect for pairing with white meats and vegetable dishes .

But the house doesn’t just produce Champagne under the Moët brand – it also owns and produces Dom Pérignon as well as Hennessy Cognac. All of these vineyards are classed as Grand Cru, which puts them in the highest category when it comes to flavor, quality and freshness. Some of this attention to details stems from the fact that Moët claims the title of the first ever Champagne house, founded in 1743. Using some of the most refined technology in the world, and combined with premium quality grapes means that it’s virtually impossible to find a bad bottle of Moët & Chandon.

During this process, the wine mixes with a sugar and yeast solution, also known as liqueur de triage, is bottled, capped with a soda bottle cap, and left to begin the secondary fermentation and aging. As the yeast consumes the sugars, carbon dioxide (i.e., bubbles) forms and stays in the bottle. The sparkler then ages for several months to several years. And it’s safe to say that the brand’s influence and impact spans far more than just the vineyards. Champagne fans can take the experience one step further with a visit to the Moët & Chandon underground wine cellars which are, unsurprisingly, also the largest in the Champagne region. When you’ve got fans like royalty sipping the brand, it comes as no surprise to hear about the care and attention that goes into each bottle. Moët & Chandon is made up of a mix of three different grapes —Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay – sourced from vineyards in the five main areas of Champagne. Producing such a high volume of Champagne means plenty of space is needed to store it somewhere. And at the underground cellars, there’s a huge 28km (17 miles) of tunnels to explore, filled to the brim with bottles. How to drink Moët & Chandon
